Intro to Technical diving

This course is the first step when looking to move into the demanding world of technical diving. This is the fundamentals of Technical diving. This course walks the diver through the special techniques, planning procedures and skills that set technical diving apart from traditional sport diving.

This course helps improve a divers skills and covers a full range of topics such as dive planning, gas management and  equipment configuration and gear setup. The course will also cover a range of in water skills such as finning, buoyancy control for deco, communication and how to handle equipment failures.

The program is a useful stand-alone course for the diver who wants to become a more skilled and proficient, diver regardless if they intend to move on to technical diving.

It is also refresher for certified technical divers who may have been out of the water for sometime and want to refresh their skills or have them re-evaluated by a technical instructor.

Course Commitment

• Classroom 8 hours 1 day
• Two days of diving
• Full course 3 days

Prerequisites

• Advanced Open Water
• 100 logged dives
• Medical questionnaire

Limitations

• Student to Instructor Ration 4:1
• No night training dives
• Can include Nitrox
