A message from Hamish Tweed, Founder & Head Instructor:
The courses I teach comes from the knowledge that I have gained from years of working with many excellent divers and instructors. I have trained with IANTD, NACD, PADI, and TDI instructors and instructor trainers; and from this broad spectrum I have taken what I think are the best ideas and principles and applied them to my courses to form combined technical diver programs. My technical diving teaching philosophy is based on a number of principles. First, What you have bought is training in technical diving. The goal is to have students finish their courses possessing the skills and knowledge to plan and execute a technical dive with a high-level of competency. The certification is earned. Second, the training environment should be enjoyable. At the technical level, students should be able to self-critique and discuss successes and shortcomings. My students will gaine the confidence to execute complex technical dives here in BC's cold waters. Third, my roll as an instructor is not to beat you down, but as a guide that will lead you through the training process, it's about helping you become an informed, confident and safer Technical diver. If my teaching philosophy sounds like what you are looking for as a student, please give us a call. |
