Advanced Trimix DiverAdvanced Trimix builds on an already strong skillset to handle potential difficulties at greater depths. These dives can be exciting, as many of the undiscovered and unexplored areas are beyond the limits of even Extended range dives.
What will you learn: How to plan dives with greater percentages of helium; the use of hypoxic gas mixtures protocols; gas management; extended decompression; accelerated, omitted, and general decompression strategies; dive planning; and management of multiple cylinders, thermal considerations for cold water diving. operational planning for multi-stage tank management, extended oxygen exposure, advanced multi-stage gas management. There are a number of standard operating procedures for various in-water failures and emergency planning. At this level all specks of the dive must be thought out and the risks mitigated. Divers will learn to complete a range of skills, and will have to demonstrate competence and comfort in water. Being proficient with dives at these depths will open the doors to project diving, exploration, and discoveries even further for all those who want to accept the challenge. |
This is the final stage in open water deep diving. Divers thinking about taking an Advanced Trimix course should have at least two years of technical diving experience and have logged about 100 decompression dives.
